RESERVIST MAGAZINE RETIREE SITREP Coast Guard captain retires after CGRU change-of-command Capt. Jason Lehto relieved Capt. Andy Grenier as the commanding officer of Coast Guard Reserve Unit U.S. Indo-Pacific Command in a ceremony held at Coast Guard Base Honolulu June 24. The mission of the CGRU is to integrate the Coast Guard's specific mission sets and skills into the combatant commander's planning and regional security efforts in support of USINDOPACOM's missions, as well as supporting regional maritime domain awareness and international engagement efforts. Coast Guard Pacific Area's chief of staff, Capt. Tony Hahn, presided over the ceremony, which also celebrated the retirement of Grenier after more than 29 years of service. The CGRU executive officer, Cmdr. Jeff Engel, was the master of ceremonies for the event, which was well-attended by friends, shipmates and family members. Grenier will continue in his civilian career as a fire protection engineer with Walt Disney Imagineering, where he supports projects for theme parks and resorts around the world.
